What will the Dutch real estate market remember about March 2020?
The overall growth of the real estate market in the Netherlands and the historical maximum of house prices. This was March news for the Kingdom. By the end of March 2020, the number of transactions in the Dutch real estate market has increased by 11% compared to last year. During the first month of spring more than 18,500 residential properties were purchased in the country of bicycles and tulips. In total, 51,579 purchase and sale transactions were conducted in the first three months, so it is 9% more than in the same period of 2019.
The market is growing beyond any doubt. Increases not only the number of purchased items, but their price. According to statistics conducted by the Cadastre, Land register and the mapping Agency and Statistics Netherlands, prices for secondary real estate in March 2020 were 7% higher compared to the same month in 2019.
Moreover, house prices in the Netherlands have reached their highest on record. Compared with the absolute minimum of June 2013, the increase in residential real estate prices for March 2020 is 45.6%.
